Puppy's 1st Feeding Time

6/9/2022: Today was a trial run to see how well the puppies would eat puppy chow. We mixed the puppy chow with a little puppy formula. Brutus was the first to notice the food and didn't stop digging in. Our little man (Whiskey) followed shortly after him. Both sat on the platter and made a mess but it was adorable. We had to wake some of the other little fellas up from their afternoon nap to show them the fun they were missing out on. Once they all discovered the meal they all made a mess but enjoyed it. We had the potential owners of Boog help us out. Kitty and Avery (our German Shepard, Mother hen) stayed around afterwards to clean up the mess. Avery is the puppies second mom. These puppies are just as much as her pride and joy as ours and Oakleys.

Avery has loved Oakley since we got her 2 years ago. they are 2 peas in a pod. Avery even saved Oakley from drowning at the lake. We took them with us fishing and Oakley was jumping in the Lake. She is not a great swimmer but still goes for it. Oakley went in and Avery could sense Oakley's struggle. Meanwhile, Avery jumped in and nudged her to the side where she could get out. That is true friendship.
